Southern Kaduna Youths, Groups Declare Massive Support For Dr Simon Yashim

*Pledge mobilisation for Tinubu, Uba Sani,   APC Candidates


A major political mobilisation is gathering momentum across Southern Kaduna as youths and various support groups have expressed their confidence in  Dr. Simon N. Yashim, pledging to work with him in mobilising support and votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, His Excellency Senator Uba Sani CON, Executive Governor of Kaduna State and other candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Speaking to journalists,  representatives of the Southern Kaduna youth movement described Dr. Yashim as a respected leader with a deep connection to his people, their culture and traditions.


A statement signed by the Nigerian Political Savvy Veteran Social Media Journalist, Prince Gmoney Owojaiye, made available  to our correspondent yesterday, said that  one of the speakers, Mr. Babai Allahmagani, described Hon. Engr. Dr. Simon N. Yashim as,  “a man of honour, compassion and respect for Southern Kaduna.”

According to him, "Hon. Engr. Dr. Simon N. Yashim is a man who has genuine love and respect for Southern Kaduna. When you meet him with your tears, you cannot go back the same way. He listens, he cares, and he responds. He is a man who understands our culture and traditions and respects our people."

Mr. Allahmagani further stated that the decision to support Dr. Yashim goes beyond party politics, stressing that his leadership qualities and commitment to the people have earned him the confidence of many youths and grassroots stakeholders.

He added, "If Dr. Yashim believes in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and His Excellency, Senator Uba Sani CON, then we will follow suit. We believe in the leadership he believes in and we are prepared to work with him to mobilise our people peacefully and responsibly."

The youth representatives said their mobilisation efforts would focus on grassroots engagement, political awareness, peaceful participation and encouraging eligible citizens to exercise their constitutional right to vote.

They also called on Southern Kaduna youths to remain united, peaceful and constructive in their political participation, emphasising that the future of the region depends on responsible leadership, meaningful development and active citizen participation.

The group further expressed confidence that  Dr.  Yashim would continue to serve as a bridge between the people and political leadership, particularly in promoting dialogue, unity and development across communities.

The movement therefore, declared  readiness to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Uba Sani  and other APC candidates through legitimate grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 elections.

“We are ready to engage, mobilise and educate our people. Our support is based on our confidence in leadership, development and the future we want for Southern Kaduna and Kaduna State,” the representatives stated.

Customs FOU Zone ‘B’ Cracks Down On Smugglers Of Endangered Species

*Unit intercepts live pangolins along Kano–Jigawa axis The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Federal Operations Unit (FOU) Zone ‘B’, has intercepted two live pangolins being illegally transported along the Kano–Jigawa axis.   This was disclosed in a statement signed by the  CPRO  FOU Zone B, CSC NA Saidu, made available on Tuesday.   It informed that the arrest occurred on March 12, 2026 at about 10:00 hours. Operatives of the Unit, during a stop-and-search operation, flagged down the vehicle as part of a proactive enforcement sweep.   The seizure was effected pursuant to the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES), an international agreement that prohibits trade threatening the survival of wild species.   Upon interception, the animals were secured in appropriate cages and conveyed to the FOU Zone ‘B’ headquarters in Kaduna.
